How do you test a propane system on an rv?

Can anyone explain how to test a propane system on an rv? What components do you check to know if the propane is flowing?
I know I have propane. I can't get any smell or light anything. There is a check valve at the tank that has safety features. I guess the main question should be is how do you check this to see if it is working. thx

1. Turn the tank on and light your stove.

It takes an actual tester to sniff around all the connections to see if there are any leaks and this needs to be done by a RV mechanic who can repair LPG lines if he finds a leak.

2. you can put an air pump on your mane line , take soap and water 1/2 oz soap and a little water just enough water to make bubles, go to al l your fitting's put the soap&W on the fitting look forl ittle bubles .also there is a solution you can bye to test with . Or ask you gas Co. Goooooood L

3. you need a manometer.propane system is not for the average diy.isnt your familys saftey worth a couple of bucks.take it to local rv shop.could be a bad regulator or bad tank valve.(by the way im an rv tech)

4. propane if very flamible and to undertake something like this is not in your best interest. take it to an r v service center and they will check it for you at a small cost or no cost at all . please leave it to the pro's on this one .

5. You mix a thick mixture of liquid dish soap with water and use a paint brush to brush the mixture on the lines. when and if the leak is hit you will get a large soap bubble. I watched an RV repairman do it and it worked.
