who bought the bombardier recreational vehicle division?
Public Comments
1. not me
2. I find no record of a sale of BRP. I'm guessing there may have been a restructure within Bombardier's huge empire.
3. Nobody bought it, they renamed it Con-Am
4. When Bombardier decided to sell the recreational division to help generate working capitol for it's aerospace and rail divisions a few years ago several members of the Bombardier family purchased the division and are now having it run as Bombardier Recreational Products... BRP.
This division contains Can-AM, Sea-doo, Evinrude, Johnson, Rotax and other divisions.
That's why the company has retained the name Bombardier.
The new owners are the descendants of the family that originally founded the company.
5. Tom's answer is closest...
The company name is "CAN-AM"
And they've added a Y frame motorcycle to their offerings now called the "Spider." It's a reverse trike design...drive wheel in back and 2 steering wheels upfront.
