What is the best way to go about selling a used RV and get what it is worth?
I am going through a divorce and the RV is strapping me financially and the soon to be EX is not trying to do anything to help sell the RV, as he said he would. I don't mind losing a little money on it but I don't want to give it away either. I really need some guidance on what to do about this vehicle.

1. well sure getting what you can does make sense but way things are now not many people wil be looking but running a ad or leaving a note at rv parks maybe craigslist has fro priving it might look it up on ebay something just like it and see what they are selling for an dmake you price lower sure you lose but then again you got money and not strapping
2. You can try posting on RV trader online. See link. Be patient. Selling vehicles can take time. I sold my truck at Autotrader.com & it took 3 months to find the right buyer. I had many people email me saying they would buy my truck sight unseen. But I told anyone who wrote or called me that if they really wanted my truck, then they would have to come out & see it. This method quickly weeded out the dead beat buyers. Plenty of people out there who would try to literally steal anything before your eyes. Lots of fake cashiers checks & forgeries. Ya gotta be vigilant.
3. I'm sorry you have to go through this Jo, and wish you the best of luck during this difficulty. I have a couple of resources to suggest, but first a few practical suggestions. Start by making a list of everything you know about the RV. What is the make, model, and year? What is the mileage and condition of the engine and tires? Have you followed the manufacturers requirements for service? Have you stored it well so the RV is in tip-top condition? Go through and inspect everything, and document thoroughly your RV. Then take picutres of every side and surface of the exterior and interior of the RV, including opening the hood and taking picutures of the engine, and in the cab fotograph the odometer. Next do a search on eBay. I found an article that explains how to do that, and here's the link:

Next you can do some excellent and easy research on the eBay Motors site for RV's, which I did for you and I saved the search below. I've listed the instructions for you right here, so if you could take a second and write down these steps or print this page, you can click the link below and follow along on the eBay Motors site, it's actually quite easy with these instructions!
If you go to the eBay Motors site (see link at the bottom), you will see "Advanced Search" on the upper right hand corner of the screen, under the word "help." Click on "Advanced Search" and look for the box "What are you looking for?" Click on "RV's and Campers" and enter, and then enter "Type" for the general type of RV you have to sell, and then in the "Keyword" box fill in the brand. Then click the "Show Completed Listings Only" box, which will show you actual sales prices of the models most like yours!!! I tried this, and since I didn't know your specific model, I used just the generic "Motorized Class B." You'll want to fill in your model number. It came up with 130 matches that show the number of bids and the actual sales prices. It doesn't show the listings which didn't sell. Now you can compare what you have to what has sold, and get an idea of the TRUE blue book value, which is what you can actually get for the RV. Then you can consider listing yours on eBay. And follow the suggestions made by previous answers about prudence and safety when selling to people you don't know, and also read on the eBay motors site their suggestions for selling.
Good luck, and I hope this is peacefully and successfully a thing of the past very soon!
