How do I get my recreational vehicle toilet to stop leaking?

It's a Mansfield. When I press down the pedal to release the toilet water, water is spraying out of the pedal mechanism.

1. Replace the pump valve. They are a common problem as they are not built from quality materials. You can find one at your local RV parts store. It is most likely cracked from lack of proper weatherization if you live in freezing climate.
