Where can I hire a cheap camper van/motorhome from?

I'm looking to do a bit of a "max & paddy meets most haunted" style roadtrip round Britain this year, round about May. I've looked at some sites but some people, well in fact loadsa people are quoting £1400 for 2 weeks, without petrol/site fees etc!! I could go around the world for that, never mind Britain!!! I'm looking for a 2-4 berth motorhome/camper van to hire for around £200 - £250 (maybe £300) a week. Anyone got any info?

1. Ask Top Gear about that. Jerry will probably tell it's a fucking idea to do so!

2. If you know someone who knows a bit about engines it might be cheaper to buy a small one. It'd be old obviously, but you'd be able to sell it afterwards too!

3. Sorry to disappoint you but you are dreaming aren't you? It would cost you more than that to hire a small car for 2 weeks. If you get realistic you will undoubtedly have a great time so if you do make it enjoy yourself!
