Do RV parks have individual septic tanks or do you have to haul your waste to a collection point?

I've never had a camper or stayed in a RV park and need to know how things work before I get one.

Public Comments

1. they have hook-ups for the spots//community showers and toilets also at the good koa camps

2. Some RV Parks have septic hookups at every site whilst others have a central dump facility. You can but a campground guide or call ahead to verify which do and which don't.

3. It really depends on the park.

Usually there are only on-lot hookup for waste when they are permanent trailers. i.e. park models...

Most parks have a dump station, where you either drive your RV to dump, or haul the 'honey bucket' to dump it.

Make life easier... only use the RV's toilet for having a squirt (unless it's an 'emergency')... and do other 'business' at the park's public washrooms. Saves you trips to the dump site and helps with the smell and clean up.
