Can I write off an RV as rental property expense?
I know you can write off vehicles (vans/SUV's) over 6000lbs...So couldn't you write off a RV that has the van front (Class A, I think it's called)...Thanks!!

1. *How* is the RV related to rental property?
Is *it* what you are renting?
2. You can write off vehicles IF you use them for the rental property. IE: a work truck. How in hell is an RV in anyway work related? I do not see how that would be legal.
3. Are you in the business of renting this RV? Do you have evidence of your ad? Is it being rented or are you advertising it for rent in the newspaper? If you are getting rent, are you reporting your rent income? How many weeks of the year do you personally use the RV? More than two weeks? Maybe you should consult your tax preparer on this. I hope he is an enrolled agent or a CPA.
