If you had an RV and were going camping what types of amenities would you be looking for?
I am thinking about opening a camp site for people with RV's and I wanted to get some feed back of what people are looking for, if you were to go to one. Internet, bathrooms, rentals, should we be located on a lake, an ocean, tennis courts etc? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

1. Start with full hook ups of course. Next is where's the fishing, hunting, climbing, whatever outdoor recreation it is your wanting to do. I hate RV parks where its wall to wall RV's I won't even pull into a place that looks like that I want space at least 10,000 square foot sites I go traveling to get away from the city and I don't want to hear my neighbor fighting with his wife at 3 o'clock in the morning. Wifi, cell phone coverage, cable or satellite are all plus features. And a round the clock camp host, in case of unruly folks. Read up on the new Woodalls blogs lots of info there.
2. i look for a gravel pit that is fairly level and close to where i am going fishing or hiking. when i go camping i do not use cell phones, computers, swimming pools, and i am terrible at tennis.
3. Water, electric, and sewer are the main concerns. Be near to all of the other activities. You don't have to provide them. A small store with basic necessities is nice. A place to do laundry also is good.Have a couple spaces set aside for the tent campers who are just looking for somewhere to spend the night. Washrooms and showers are a must as some RVS are not equipped.
4. Grass, trees, views, full hookups, spacious and level sites. Fire ring and a picnic table. The further from neighbors the better. WiFi is a nice addition but would be difficult to provide affordable service with lots of trees and spread-out sites. As long as there's good cellular service I'm ok with no WiFi.
Clean bathrooms are a must. I don't mind paying a quarter for hot water, as long as the bathrooms are clean.
Ocean, Lake, River or Stream-side locations would be great. I don't need tennis courts, basketball, or any of that stuff. But a heated swimming pool and adults-only spas are usually on my wanted list. When in camp, I'll frequently take advantage of an on-site grill serving hot dogs, hamburgers, sandwiches, etc... Families with small kids will look for a nice, fenced-in playground with shaded benches. A store with a selection of RV/Camp essentials and food.
I would forgo trailer rentals and instead have various size cabins.
In my case, attended dog kennels would be attractive.
5. along with full hookups and large level sites, clean restrooms ..I would like an enclosed dog run {so the dog can be off leash, under my supervision of course} heated pool, with adult hours.. planned get togethers, we camped over Thanksgiving, the camp ground supplied the Turkeys and the campers brought everything else..ice cream socials, picnic tables, wi fi if I am staying for a week or so..A large rec room with good acoustics where groups can gather...no tennis courts, mini golf etc..I very seldom ever use a camp store..and they are a lot of work..but most of all friendly, helpful hosts..Rivers, lakes, ocean or mts. are all good places for a camp ground..also are you having mainly an overnight place with the basics..or planing on a place people come to for a week or more?? Each would have their own amenities..If you elect to have year rounders {Permanent} please put them in their own area..I hate being put next to a live in, and I'm sure they don't like all the visitors going in and out next door to them all the time..
