renting an RV for a cross country road trip?
My husband is currently stationed in Hawaii with the USMC. He gets out next August and we will be returning to our Native New Jersey to spend the rest of our lives around our family there. However, what we would LOVE to do, is fly to CALIFORNIA and rent an RV (it only needs to fit the two of us) and drive back to NJ making stops to see the sights and friends made along the way. However we will be needing a ONEWAY rental (we could return it in NY/NJ/PA) and would be driving for an est 2 weeks. If you have any information on the most affordable RV one way rental please provide information. Thanks

1. This may be very expensive. Here's a small list of the larger RV renters:

To find more, just type RV Rentals on your Yahoo search engine and you will get many, many more. Look at the side bar and you'll see some ads, check them all out for your best price.
For what you describe, I would suggest a Class B motorhome, which is a converted van. Next would be a Class C, this is much larger, based on a van chassis but with permenant sleeping arraingments.
I haven't rented an RV since I was in Alaska last year. Costs there are nothing like in the lower 48. The contract you will sign must include unlimited mileage. A feature taht will be left out unless you request it. I have seen people sign contracts with a 100 mile daily limit. With that you wouls need a month to cross the U.S.
Enjoy and see the U.S.A.
