Where can an RV be converted for Wheelchair Accesiblitiy? My mother is wheelchair bound and her and my father want to get an RV/Motorcoach home to tour the country with, but none of the places we have checked online seem to show such options. Does anyone know where we could take an RV and have it retrofitted to be wheelchair accessible and disability friendly? We will need to have a wheelchair lift installed on the coach.

From Phoenix to Grand Canyon in RV Rental? Any suggestions? We'll be flying into Phoenix for a convention. After it's over, I would just love to coordinate renting an RV to tour around a few days and see the Grande Canyon. Any suggestions? I'm wondering if there's an easier, logical way to do this. We likely would be picking up a rental car at the airport on arrival so we can get to the convention hotel and get around for a few days. When the convention ends we would need to either drive to an RV rental in Phoenix then return the car and go on to the GC or keep the rental car and go to GC and rent an RV or Cabin there. I don't want to pay for both an RV and a rental car. I'm starting to go cross-eyed with all these Websites about RV Rentals etc and really would like to hear from somebody with experience to share on this subject. Would also appreciate a good campground recommendation for us novis campers. Any ideas or suggestions on a GC cabin rental as an alternative? Thanks for your help!
What is involved in converting a diesel engine to run on biofuel? I am buying a diesel RV to do a tour of the country next year with my environmental organization and I want to convert the engine to run on biodiesel. I am interested in knowing both the ease or difficulty of having this done, as well as what sort of cost will be involved.
With RV in Death Valley ....is it safe ?? I'm planning a west coast trip with RV (Camper) and I need suggestion for deciding if include Death Valley in my tour or not. Going on tour... bus, driver, manager? How much does a bus cost to go on tour? Like a personal one. [Kind of like Hannah Montana.] How she has her own bus and everything... How much does it cost? Would it be less to just get a RV or a trailer? How much does it cost to have a driver? What about a manager?
Would you pay $40 for ticket to a dinner (food, wine/beer included) with part of the profits going to charity I started an organizaiton that promotes education & awareness on evnironmental issues. I want to buy a bus and convert it to an RV to tour the country & do speaking engagements to promote the organization, & to let people know the things they can do to help the planet. I have figured out costs of the conversion, & it is somewhat more than I have. I want to hold a dinner to tell people about the organization. I will have dinner, wine & beer will be included, & there will also be a band-& may be some environmentally friendly product giveaways. I am trying to see if I will be able to generate enough interest & was wondering if people would give me their opinions. After the dinner, venue, alcohol, etc is paid for, a percentage of the left over money will go to charity, & then the remainder I will use to convert the bus. Would you pay $40 for this? If not, how much? After all, that's about what dinner, drinks and music would cost for a night out. And it helps charity too. Would u go?
Best way to do a tour of the USA? Have considered renting a car, Greyhound buses....? Hi. Next year we are doing a three-month tour of the USA (as part of a round-the-world trip). We are from the UK. We are arriving into San Francisco and driving all the way across to Boston, Massachusetts. At first we considered renting an RV, but the cost was astronomical for that length of time. So then we downsized to a car, and this is also very expensive when you add in the one-way fees and fuel costs. So are current idea is the greyhound buses for most of the trip, with a car rental for one week for the old "route 66" bit between Flagstaff and Oklahoma City. Also there are several stretches on the Greyhound buses that are overnight, so we would save money on hotels for a few nights. What do you think of this method, what are the Greyhound buses like? Does anyone have any other ideas of how we might travel? Thanks!
What is the name of the song? Does anyone know the name of the song that came out in like the 90's based off of a news article the band read where an old couple was thought to be missing but was found just taking a cross country tour in their rv?

is this a good way to start for my band ? Well i am in a band, pop punk, and we are still a bit young so what we have planned was to rent and RV phone many clubs ( from San Diego) aiming on performing from San Diego in clubs up to orange county, and parts of Los Angeles.... would this be a good enough ? or is it better to Tour through out the united states ?.... it's only a plan, we don't know yet.
How Should We Tour From Phoenix To Grand Canyon On 3-5 Day Trip? We will actually be in Phoenix, AZ in June first for a 4 day convention and then we'd like to take another 3-5 days for fun R & R and exploration of Arizona. We definitely want to see the Grand Canyon. Any other suggestion? If possible we'd like to rent an RV at least for 2 days or so during this time. Could see Sedona in addition to Grand Canyon and maybe somewhere else? What about:Trail Rides? Cowboy Cookout? Float Tours? Williams to GC Train Ride? Williams Campground or hotel? Most campsites within the GC park are booked but the Maswich Lodge still has vacancy. Just in case, we tentatively booked a room at the Holiday Inn Express in GC near the entrance gates. Feel free to play "Travel Agent here! Would like to hear any helpful advice or itineraries you can think of. Thanks for your help!!!
Some business start up questions I am 17 years old and, after I graduate college, I would like to start my own business. Since I was little, I have had a passion for touring coaches and RVs. I was thinking that, in the future, I would like to start my own RV dealership and, after that, my own touring coach company. But I have a few questions. For the RV dealership: Since I would be selling many expensive RVs, would I buy then sell or would I sell based on a commission (getting a percentage of the profit)? I know there is a large RV dealership a few hours from my house, called the Hitch House, that sells only high end motor homes, between $75-$700, 000. Would they sell based on commission or buy-and-sell? The Touring Coach: How do touring coach companies start? Do they have to take out a loan first to buy the coaches? These are the types of coaches and RVs I want to be working with: http://www.new.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=793532&l=9e561&id=510547503 http://www.new.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=793533&l=fe5df&id=510547503 http://www.new.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=793543&l=80d2d&id=510547503 http://www.new.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=793460&l=102f3&id=510547503 http://www.new.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=793375&l=534fc&id=510547503 http://www.new.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=793193&l=76322&id=510547503 http://www.new.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=793548&l=5e6fa&id=510547503 http://www.new.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=792991&l=21a7d&id=510547503
What do you think of this? “Welcome to New York, New York.” That’s what the sign read as I entered the city. I still couldn’t believe time had passed so quickly, although Spring Break always does. I had been spending the last week in Pennsylvania at our mini mansion in between Pittsburgh and Gettysburg. Penn. Probably would seem outrageously boring to most of you, but to me and my Upper East Side friends it was like a safe haven. We always came here on spring Break, it’s so beautiful you can’t even imagine. We all have had some of our best memories here, we have gone there ever since we were babies our parents love it as much as we do. Though I love the city I can’t help but to say it saddens me dearly to leave my little haven. I’m Raya Sykes and I’m 15, I come from one of the most elite families in the human world and the supernatural world. My family line is Royal. Our line has been around since before Jesus or King Tut were born and we have been ruling since the day Pangaea fell to us. Ha! Seems strange right? How could I know something like this? Well the truth is our family had a spell cast on us in which once we die we get a 9 month period until we are born again, we don’t always look the same or even have the same personality, but one thing never changes: we have our memories and my fondest memory is the day I became empress of Pangaea. Our line is the largest to have ever existed, not only because we never truly die out or split apart but also because we can interbreed with humans and other supernatural creatures and they will carry on the family line just like the rest of us. But enough about history, we can get back to that later. I was riding back with my Best friends in my parent’s super long Rv/tour bus. There were 14 of us and we have known each other since before I can remember. My big brother Mason was driving right now and he yelled something at Mitchell which I’m guessing wasn’t very nice considering Mitchell was drunk off his ass and needed to turn down the music before someone beat the hell out of him. Apparently Mitch got the message because he lowered the volume with the remote and walk past me to the back of the bus to the bathroom. I knew what was coming next, I always did. The water turned on, I heard his knees hit the floor and then there was a deep gurgling sound. Ick! I always hated it when this happened. Not that it really mattered what I thought because I always did the same thing the night before we left Penn but at least I didn’t down to bottles of vodka 10 minutes before it was time to leave. But that was our Mitch, not much of a thinker if you ask me but that sure didn’t matter to Kathleen. She loved him so deeply I could see it in her aura. (Dang I forgot to mention I’m clairvoyant, I have all the mind things that come with it along with the aura thing, and I could read minds but that can come later) Kathleen and Mitch have been together for 9 months now which is a big accomplishment considering Mitch’s longest relationship before Kathleen was 2 weeks. “get out of my bed!” I heard someone yell. “No way Williams I’m sleeping!!” Ahhh lord, I thought we could make it back home before another fight broke out, oh well there went my hopes. I got up and started walking back toward the ruckus, I knew who it was as soon as I heard the voices but I still couldn’t keep away from the animosity I was always drawn to it no matter what. Oliver and Erik were about to battle it out when I walked back there and switched on my mood control. Suddenly they were hugging which made me ecstatic. Every time my little experiments worked I couldn’t help but me ecstatic. Oliver scooted over and let Erik in beside him. They started snuggling and I decided I better get out of there before things got to ugly. Oli and Erik were gay and proud of it. Neither I nor any of the others had anything against it, still it gave me goose bumps to be around when things got intimate. So I walked slowly to the front and sat down beside my brother. “What’s up sis?” he asked. I gave him a once over to make sure he actually wanted to know, he always did, though I still couldn’t keep myself from checking when I saw that brotherly love cross his face. Finally convinced I answered “I did something stupid the other night.” I turned my head ashamed; it took only a moment for recognition to come into his eyes. “Let me see.” He said carefully. I glanced at him then back down at my wrists, might as well or he’ll pull over and jerk my sleeves up himself, which would alert the others. So I took the high road and gently pushed my sleeves up, he slowed down at the red light. Then he gave me a somewhat angry look when he saw what was there. 4 cuts right across my main vain. He knew why I did this. Actually he knew both reason and yet he still didn’t judge me, that’s why I loved him so much. “Trying to heal yourself again? Or is it the depression this time?” I thought for a second then replied “ I was sad, didn’t feel like healing them up so I decid
RV - parking near Washington DC on July 4 - is it Mission Impossible? H-E-L-P! We are touring the east coast and will be in the area of Washington DC on the 4th of July in our 40' motorhome pulling a GMC SUV. We need a place to park the RV safely while we take the car into DC for the Independence Day festivities. Any suggestions? Also, what are our chances of parking our car in Gravelly Point to view the fireworks? If we parked our SUV on the roof of the Reagan Airport parking structure, could we see the fireworks? We have done enough research to know that driving into DC itself will be difficult and parking there is impossible, so we need suggestions for outlying areas. THANK YOU in advance for serious responses!
What would be better?? What would be better to get if you are a singer going on tour? RV or a bus. How much would a driver cost?

Yellowstone/ Grand Teton Tours? I am trying to plan an RV trip thru Yellowstone and Grand Teton. I currently have reservations at the Colter Bay Village RV park. Is this too far from Yellowstone to enjoy a full day tour. Will too much time be wasted driving? Should I book white water rafting, horse back riding, park tours, etc. type activities now since i will be going the week of the 4th of july? Any recommendations of places to use for these activities?
Is it legal 4 people 2 consume alcohol in the back seat of a vehicle if the drivers cabin is separate from it? Much like how a Limo is set up but my question is if say you had a van with a divider or a pick up truck with a camper shell in the back. Heck say you even bought a defunct Crown Vic from the police auction that still had the barrier in the back or a taxi cab. What about a RV/Motor home? How about Tour buses catered to Rockstars? I'm sure it varies from state to state as well but I'm curious as to what is allowed in the state of California mostly.
R.V.Holidays? Can you help? I am hoping to tour U.S. in 2009 and would like some advice on companies in Ireland, north or south that cater for rv holidays for a family of 4. Thank You.

First time traveler to Europe, I need advice.? I'm visiting Europe this summer with my family (2 adults, 4 children between ages 4 and 16). I'm not sure whether we should rent an RV and drive through Europe at our own pace, or buy a guided tour package (30 days) that is at a faster pace but includes hotel stays and transportation. We are planning on visiting the Netherlands, France, Germany, Italy, Greece, Spain and Switzerland. We have a span of 3 months to do all of this, if we rent an RV. Any advice from past travelers to Europe? or from anyone who has travelled in an RV. I'm not sure how the bathroom situation would turn out, RV bathrooms have always looked a bit cramped to me.
Is renting a motor home for travel thru the UK country side a good idea? I'm from the USA, and thinking of taking a trip to the United Kingdom with my wife. Were excited about the seeing the history of the land that our Great Great Grandparents came from in both England and Scotland, plus time allowing Ireland. Plus we would like to see some old castles and other ruins like Stonehenge, and ancient battle fields, etc. etc. I am very familiar with motor homes and RV's in general. So would renting a motor home to tour the UK be a good idea? What about camp grounds, or open land camping? Not to mention the safety of sleeping at night in a strange country in a motor home? Or would I be better off, renting a car, and staying in hotels? Any advise you can give will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
What should be the penalty to Sen. Obama for abusing his public office ? According to the Denver Post: 10/09/2008 Democrat Barack Obama's campaign is running a bus tour through Colorado this week to take its message to rural voters. Outside of Canon City, they attracted some unwanted attention. With Colorado Sen. Ken Salazar driving, and former Gov. Roy Romer and Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar on board, the recreational vehicle was pulled over by a county sheriff's deputy on Highway 50. The deputy said the month and year tags on the rented RV were in the wrong place. The RV did not receive a ticket. http://www.denverpost.com/ci_10678619?source=rss A US Senator intimidating a deputy into not issuing a citation. This reeks of abuse of power.

We are wanting to do a cross-country tour of the US for next year (including Alaska & Hawaii), so we're starting the planning & saving now. We want to go through EACH state, & take Route 66. Every now & then getting off the hwy to see the small towns too. 2) What are the major cities to see... main activities to do in each state? We are interested in everything from museums, to theme parks, to hiking, or say horseback riding in Texas, lol... basically trying & seeing whatever that state is about. 3) Your best tips! What to do/ bring to be prepared... & have the most fun, make the best of our experience! 4) What NOT to do. 5) Your best tips for saving money?! 6) What were YOUR favorite parts/ places! 7) RV (& gas) vs. car, gas & hotels? Money & comfort wise. Thanks so much!!

Suggestions for first time RV camping In Maritimes? I've done some tent camping but this fall will be our first time Rv camping. We'll be touring the Maritimes for a month. We're taking everything we think we need to cut costs. I think it will be a 22' RV that we are renting. Any suggestions?
Any ideas for a food tour in the eastern part of the US? Me and 2 friends are trying to plan a food tour but im having trouble finding any help. Its gonna be in the summer, it needs to be fairly inexpensive & no further than 8 hours from Eastern Kentucky. We would prefer a multi-city/town tour, but it can be limited to one large city. Also, we are traveling via RV, so any campground info is welcomed. Any info is greatly appreciated.
How much is it to rent an RV? My family and I are planning to go on a tour of the states. We know the destinations and routes we're going to take. Instead of renting hotels or motels, we would like to rent an RV to save money on sleeping. We will be flying to Boston. How much would an RV fitting 4 people cost per day? Also, how much fuel do RVs burn and what are the fuel prices in the states? Thank you all in advance.
Can't find a very specific song? I'm looking for a specific song about broken families and a white guy sings it inside a tour bus or rv and the chorus is sung by a female. It came out several years ago. I also remember that there are sound clips from people talking about there experiences.
Which of these 3 road bikes are the best? Ok guys and gals, I tried to ask this question once before and I got a lot of "all three of those are junk save your money and buy a better bike." Listen, I have ridden bikes before, a lot, training, racing, triathlons etc. I know what these bikes are, but I live in the boonies and there aren't any decent used bikes anywhere near me, shipping is too high to make it worth it and on top of that i'm restoring an old truck right now that really needs the money more than this bike anyway. So i've done my research and narrowed the search down to these three. Having said all that i'd really like your advise on which of these three bikes are the best deal for what they are. Has ol Harold C. gone to God yet? That seems to be the end for these cult leaders, oh yeah Harold does not have a cult- just people who sold their property and cashed in college funds to fund his North American Rapture Tour(t shrts RVs etc.)

Will anyone really be surprised when Sarah Palin announces her candidacy? •She is making millions on her Mystery Tour which I assume will be used for her Presidential run. She bought a house for $1.7 million in Arizona. It seems incredibly obvious to me that she's got Presidential ambitions in mind, and that she will announce soon. Why else would she paint her Mystery Tour RV with a giant Constitution up front and Dinosaur sized letters of her autograph on both sides? And then she went on this trip to all the patriotic sites with the media (all the media) in tow. Her excuse for this was that it was a "family vacation" Does she think we are all a bunch of imbiciles? A family vacation is a trip to Disney World, or the Grand Canyon. It's not in this immaculatly painted ,all for attention RV that only stops at historic sites where the media will follow her. She is the most running of all the candidates. And you don't go to Iowa to see your movie premier on a "family vacation" Every time one of her adoring media asks if she is running she always says 'I don't know" or "I can't discuss that right now" Do you think she would really say that if she wasn't running? Why do you think she "took off" her final year as Governor? To give her plenty of time to prepare for this moment. She should be a little more polished this time but after "Paul Revere" I don't know. Get ready all the comdians in the world to do their best "Palinisms". Tina Fey should be very well employed. For my part, I welcome her into the race. It's a free country, anyone can run for President. To all those who say that she won't run, I hope you're right and I'm wrong but I don't have a good feeling about it. I know it would be virtual insanity for her to run again, after her miserable failure as VP Candidate for John McCain. She hurt McCain at every turn, with her idiocy and her total lack of knowledge about anything. She probably cost him over 100,000 votes. People say she was a "great Governor" of Alaska. Well, great Governors don't abandon their states with a year to go in their term. And the reason she gave was comical, and pathetic. She said that she didn't want to be a "Lame Duck" Governor. That may have been the dumbest thing she ever said, and there have been hundreds. A "Lame Duck" politician is someone in their final term who can't run again. She was in her half term. She could still be Governor today, assuming she was re-elected. Everything about her is for attention, from that Mammoth RV with the bad Picaso paint job all over it and her giant signatures, to a m Everything about her is for attention, from that Mammoth RV with the bad Picaso paint job all over it and her giant signatures, to a movie about herself. What other politician is history with such a short political career would commission a movie about themselves, and have the nerve to call it "The Undeafed" If she's "undeafed", then Alaska is really only the 48th state. No one ever heard of her until John McCain made the tragic mistake of picking her as his running mate in 2008. John McCain barely knew her. Her met her one time and she wasn't even vetted .She was miserably defeated as VP Candidate. She was self-defeated as Alaska Governor. What is with this movie paying homage to herself. It's obviously to get ALL of our attention drawn to her. But what for? The only thing I can think of is a Presidential run. I hope I'm wrong, I really do. Maybe it's just that Trump size ego that John McCain picked her out of obscurity, and now she thinks she has a mission of some kind. I just don't
Advice for Travelling across America in an RV? My Boyfriend and I are considering doing a tour of America in an RV some time in the coming years in an RV. We're travelling from England and we've agreed we want to visit a friend in Ohio, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter (Orlando), New York City, Texas and Area 51. We were looking for some suggestions for other places to visit? Also, how much is it to rent an RV? Would it be cheaper to rent it in Britain or in America? How much would the trip cost approximately? and Also, do you have any suggestions on how to raise the cash? It's always been a passion of ours to do this and some advice and recommendations would be much appreciated :D Many thanks, Ruth
Rv and internet help.? Maybe getting a RV for my band (rent) I don't know a whole lot about big tour buses. Do they come with generator? How do I get wifi for it? what do I need to take care of the bus.
Any interior shots of President Obama's new tour bus online yet? Just wondering if anyone has captured images of or seen a glimpse of the interior of the new black tour bus the president is driving around in this week (Aug 15, 2011)? Very basic on the outside, but I bet it's one of the coolest RV's ever on the inside. Thanks.
Do RV's air and heating run without engine on? We have never had an RV so if this is a stupid question bear with me. We have two dogs and are thinking about buying an RV. If we go on a cave tour or a restaurant etc. without the dogs, will they be kept cool/warm in the RV? Would we have to leave it running? I know there are places to park and plug into so please tell me what happens at these parks compared to if we pull over in a parking lot at Walmart? Also I'm concerned about the RV's (& dogs) not getting stolen while we are away from it. Thanks in advance for your replies!

I had to write it in Spanish as well, and I was hoping someone could proof-read. I'd appreciate any help/corrections! The city is really big and pretty. It’s why we chose to visit it. Puerta Vallarta had a lot to do! First, my family and I found a cheap hotel. The hotel had a pool. I don’t know how to swim, but my sister loves to swim. Next to the hotel, there was a library that I liked a lot as I like to read. We visited tourist attractions like an RV tour. We saw the country side of the city, and it was pretty! After the tour, we ate lunch. We had lunch in a fantastic restaurant. The food was very delicious! I ate chicken with shrimp and beans with rice. I liked it a lot! After lunch, we went to the hotel pool. My family swum while I don’t know how to swim. I read a science fiction book. They swum for two hours. After the pool, we went to an art museum. The artwork was very pretty! Our vacation was really short. We were there for a week. The vacation was really fun. I hope to visit Puerta Vallarta again!
