Aren't there any motorhome rental companies allowing vehicle pickup in Dunedin, New Zealand? I can't believe it, I've just spent an hour trying to find a company that'll let me pick up a motorhome in Dunedin. Although hundreds of companies come up when you google the right words, none of them actually seem to be in Dunedin. Instead, they allow you to pick up the car from Nelson, Christchurch, Queenstown, you name it. I'd be so happy to find just one company that lets me pick up a vehicle in Dunedin. Does anyone know of any?

Car rental question - I need help!? We live in Canada but we need to rent a car going to Texas. Are there ANY car rental places that don't restrict to you to driving in certain states with unlimited mileage. We're a responsible family of 5 that needs a car with ample room for this long trip. I am having such a hard time. A motorhome is out of the question - too expensive. What do you suggest?
Rental house with Ex, he collects rent, but stopped paying mortgage. We are three months behind w/ mortgage.? Can I petition the court to have the renters pay me so I can start paying the mortgage? My Ex and I also own a boat and motorhome together. Our divorse called to have them both sold & the profits split. He wanted them both and we wrote up a sales agreement. It's been 2 years and he has never paid me. Can I ask the court to give them to me (title in my name alone) so I can sell them. The money will pay me the amount we agreed on (for my half) and the remainder can go to pay some of back mortgage with the rest?
where can i find good clean used carpet in grants pass oregon, need 1500 sq ft? i'm working on a rental that was totally distroyed by the tenants. it took me 6 months to get rid of them and i have totally exhausted my checking and savings accounts trying to put it back together. the property itself was covered with blackberry bushes 7 feet high, and trash with broken glass everywhere. I took a 30 yard dumpster to haul all the trash, there was stench and dead rodents, and both the bathrooms floors were destroyed, one floor had mailing tape holding it together. there was a hole in the master bath floor all the way through, because the tenants were too lazy to buy a washer for the bath tub. They left vehicles behind as well, 3 cars, 1 motorhome and 1 trailer, all junk. the back door was destroyed and had to be tied shut by huge eye bolts they put in the frame of the bathroom. Thank you for your help. If anyone can help, i would appreciate it

Accident in Quebec? Hello, we had an unfault accident in Quebec City with our rented Motorhome. There was a traffic jam and a truck crashed in the back of our Motorhome while we already stood. The rental company Canadream didn´t give us the deposit back. They said that we have to pay for the accident is that true or are there any possibilities for us to get the money back if the inssurance of the truckdriver pay for the damage? What can we do in this case? Astrid
Do you ask permission before camping in Wal-Mart parking lot? We are going to give motorhome (class c) camping a shot with a rental from a local company. We have an end location planned for a 5 day campground stay, but have 2 days when we are doing some quick trips along the way. I've heard that Wal-Mart is receptive to campers (quick overnight stays with no actual "set up"). So, my question is, for those who have camped at a Wal-Mart parking lot, do you actually go into the store and ask or do you assume a don't ask, don't tell policy?
If you rent a condo for a weekend, can the owner come in without your knowledge while you are out? I rented a condo for the weekend on the gulf coast for my 2 daug. and 3 grandchildren so they could swim in the condo pool at Horseshoe Beach, FL, while the rest of the family went scolloping. This condo did not allow pets, of which I knew and had every intention of complying with. I was staying in my motorhome close by. I was going to keep my daug. small dog in my motorhome. The power happened to go off at the campsite, Temp outside was 98 deg. or hotter and motorhome was in full sun. I waited a little while for power to be restored, but after 1 hour, it didn't. I went and took myself and the dog to the condo, until power problem was fixed. Everyone was gone from the condo, I waited a while there, then went back to camper to see if power was back on, it was, So I went back to condo to get pet and go back to camper. While I was at condo the owner of the condo knocked, I answered, he came in yelling about a dog being in the condo, about the temp. of the condo being too low, and about the golf cart being plugged in at the parking space, also made other rude comments.I tried to explain my problem, but he was too irate to hear me. The owner had admitted he had entered the condo while I had been out and found all these things. The last 2 items were not addressed on the rental agreement, of course, I knew the pet should not have been there, but I didn't know how long power was going to be off, I had no intention of leaving pet there the whole time. I know I broke the pet rule, but I or the petwas not going to heat to death in the motorhome. I didn't realize at the time owner said that he had entered the condo while I was gone, the impact of that statement. When I had explained the event to my daughter, she was very mad, she stated, what if he had come in while my daugh and the baby was asleep, what if something at been stolen, After thinking about the situation, I am very angry now. Is it against the law for an owner to enter a rented condo while the renter is gone?
How binding is this small print? We made a last minute on-line booking of a motorhome. We were told it was fully insured but we would have to pay an excess of £1250 if it was damaged. Other than that, we were just told to look at the T&C on the website. We paid extra to take the camper abroad, but discovered this did not include European travel requirements. We had to buy the stuff at the port, but they didn't have lightbulbs for the van. That's an aside, but the worst happened and someone hit the van and drove off when we were parked in a town centre car park. We were gutted to think we had to pay £1250 but now they've hit us with a bill for over £1800. They want £180 insurance admin, and they want us to pay rental for the time off the road, as well as 2% for them dipping in to our credit card still further, and VAT on top. We dug into the small print and found the £180 charge, and some waffle about "service and time charges at the prevailing daily hire rate, plus other charges" We've been told by other hirers since then that it is not the usual custom to charge for hire rates when the van is off the road, any more than a hotel charges extra nights for a room once you've vacated it, if you broke the bed. Some legislation has been quoted about the charge being too much for the work it covers, and not legal as a result. Also that as we were private customers and unable to negotiate terms on the contract, that they had an obligation to draw our attention to these extra costs, and not leave us to find them for ourselves. We are not trying to get out of the £1250 but the 50% extra is leaving a foul tale in our mouth. Can anyone shed any light on our rights TIA B2B OK. So I got an answer. Since I have 4 different hirers who DO NOT charge for extra hire, I would be interested to know why you think it is normal. What is your background, or are you just the rogue trader?
Need advice on renting RVs? Hello, my family and my friend's family (total 10 people) are looking to rent an RV (motorhome- not trailer) for a week (6 nights) to drive from San Antonio to South Padre Island and back (all in Texas). We are looking at an RV that would cost us about $760 for the whole week. Does this sound right? It's a 10 person RV with a toilet and TV. We're getting it from American Dream Vacations, apparently an RV rental place. So, how much do you think the gas would cost for that trip? From San Antonio to South Padre and back. Thanks everyone!!!! :) BTW it's one RV, not two.
Planning a trip around America (need transport help)? you guiys might remember me i asked the same question yesterday, but i want to add a little bit more information hi, im planning a trip around america, and when i mean, around america, i mean every state. (except alaska and hawaii) but anyway, what do you guys think would be the best way of transport for me to get around? i was thinking of a motor home, itd be good cause i wouldnt have to spend any money on motels/hotels but its also bad because you cant really park a motor home at theme parks and casinos and restaurants and stuff like that. so would you know any car rental places that will let you hire cars to ge around america for around 6 months. if not, is there any other way of transport that you would recommend? (im not flying, and i dont necessarily want to go taxi/bus hopping, so can you guys help me out? so far, i think motorhomes is the best idea, (i am not going to hitchhike lol) id buy a used car then sell when i get back, except that that will make me pay a lot more money on hotels and stuff. so does everyone agree that motorhome would be best idea? or does anyone else have any ideas?

What legal authority do I have with our situation involving a rented motorhome? Hello my family and I rented a motorhome for the weekend and today we were driving it and the wheel fell off (all the lug nuts had fallen off) and we momentarily lost control of the steering with the vehicle but luckily were able to get it to the side of the road off the highway. We ended our rental and the supervisor and mechanic came out to the site and repaired the broken wheel and in the meantime we took off back home in the new motorhome they brought out (we returned it the same day as we were gonna finish our contract in light of what happen). I'm not trying to milk money from the company but want to be prepared (possibly to go to court if needed) in case they offer me any resistance as I believe we are at least entitled to a full refund of all 3 days, so what should my legal standpoint be? Negligence on their part? The supervisor already mentioned someone will lose their job over this. I have a copy of the contract and I took some pictures while we were out there stranded. Thanks in advance Well we rented on Saturday at 5pm, we got stranded on Monday at about 2pm and we were there until about 4:30pm or so. We were due to return the rental Tuesday at 5pm but returned it after the incident. maybe you all aren't understanding..we are talking about alaska highways..cliffs, narrow roads..that tire was actually damaged i believe the lugs are no longer intact. Had it happened about 15 seconds early i would have probably lost control and veered into the other lane or overrun the guardrail.
Can anybody recommend a motorhome rental company in the USA? Preferably one which has no restrictions on how long you've held your licence, but no matter if there is! Cheers!
What are the California laws regarding growing marijuana on a rental property? I live in a large home with 6 other people. None of us have a medical prescription for marijuana. Our landlord, however, does have a prescription, and is going to grow a pot garden in our backyard. He does not live on the property. His house is across the street from ours. Last month, the landlord moved a motorhome into our backyard with someone living in it. We were never asked for our consent, nor were we even notified that a motorhome and 7th resident (and his dog) would be moving onto our property. I believe that this resident, living in the motorhome in the backyard, does have a prescription for medicinal marijuana. I'm curious on the legality of this. From what I understand, it is legal for a person with a prescription to grow their own weed. So I assume it is fine for him to grow it on his property, but what about the property we're renting? If somehow the cops were to find the plants on our property, could the tenants living in the house have problems even though none are involved?
Motorhome Rental in Manchester? Can anybody recommend a motor-home rental in Manchester, or airport pickup at Manchester airport? It's for my niece and her family. They're 25 + 23 years old and have a 2 year old daughter who'd travel with them. They're from the mid-European Continent. I don't seem to be bright enough to find any. Thanks!

Camper van rental from private owner in Ostfold county - Norway? I would like to rent a motorhome directly from Rygge Airport in Norway. Does anybody know a private owner in Ostfold County who rents his R.V. ? Rental agencies are far too expensive.
How do I explain to my parents that I do not want them to move so close to me? I moved away from my home town in Alaska to Oklahoma over 5 years ago. I moved away from my small hometown at 26 years old with my 3 children because I wanted to start my "own" life. I had just gotten out of a pretty bad marriage ( which my ex and his entire family also lived in the same small town) and it was time to move on. All of my family lived there and I had never lived anywhere else. I worked for my parents for 9 years at their coffee shop and I was ready to do more with my life. When I moved to OK, my parents were livid. Everyone told me how I was doing the wrong thing and that I would be back, that it wasn't fair that I was taking the kids away from them, so on and so forth. The guilt trips went on and on. In the 4 years I spent in OK, there were many ups and downs. My ex followed me to OK and lived in the same town ( and left back to AK a year later thank goodness!), I had re-married and had my 4th child, which my parent were completely unsupportive of. The marriage was a flop, very emotionally and physically abusive, so in early 2009 I left with my 4 children and moved to a very small town in OK about 40 miles away. In 2010 I ended up reconnecting with a friend that I actually graduated from high school with and we were married last year. Yes, I know, married 3 times and 32 years old deos not sound good. He is a wonderful husband and the most wonderful father to "our" children. We now live in South Florida. ( The other 2 "sperm donors" want nothing to do with the children and have not had any contact with them on their own accounts). My parents were also very skeptical about this marriage and the move, which is understandable from the past few years. My grandmother passed away in 2009, who also lived in my hometown and worked at the coffee shop with my mother and I. After she passed, my parents sold the coffee shop and decided that they wanted to move out of AK. When they had talked about moving before, my dad wanted to move somewhere he could start up his own dive shop, like in Hawaii. Just this past October, my dad quit a very good job that he has worked at for the past 20 years, they put their house and their rental properties up for sale and moved to NC, where all of my grandmother's family lives. They said they just couldn't spend another winter in AK. I don't know why they went to NC. The town they moved to is smaller than the town they moved from... I think my mom is trying to hold on to anything that is left of my grandma. Anyhow, they moved down in a motor home and decided that they would live in the motorhome until they buy or build a house. They also bought 5 acres of land in this little town. They were unhappy there so they moved to another town 2 1/2 hrs away and my dad got a different job doing the same thing he was doing in AK, but now he is working for 1/3 the pay. 2 weeks later they were unhappy there also. All they do is complain about everything and have a very negative outlook on everything that they do. Last week my dad came down to take my eldest son on a vacation to Key Largo that they had been planning for 5 years. While visiting he dropped it on me that they were seriously thinking about moving here to South Florida and looking to buy a dive shop around here. I have tried to explain that I like that they are close enough to visit, but I really don't want them in my backyard and that my husband and the kids and I have our own life here. My dad did not seem to even take anything I said into consideration. He was also very negative about everything when he was here. This was his first time meeting my husband and he was very rude. He didn't act like he enjoyed his time with my son or his time here. I was glad to see him go. I am having a hard time because we have a very happy life here. Our marriage is great, the children are happy. I moved away from AK and did not move back when things got tough in OK for a reason. My parents are very negative people and very judgemental. I just don't want the negativity around me.. I don't want the drama that they carry with them. They try to put me in the middle of their marriage and try to get in the middle of mine. When I put up boundaries they either ignore them or get so bent out of shape that I feel guilty. Quite honestly, I just don't want them here. I like for them to be close enough to visit on holidays and maybe a weekend every now and then ( like 6 or more hours away), but not 15 miles away. I also think it is rude that they didn't even ask how I felt about them moving so close, my dad just said they were going to do it...like in 2 weeks. My mom hasn't even mentioned it to me at all. WHAT DO I DO?? I am so upset about this that I am losing sleep over it.
Old married couples please read, am i being stubborn? My hubby and i are 63yrs, have been married 38yrs,and retired, we live in a 4brm 2 bath home with a good size yard, we have lived here for 34 yrs.. We own rental homes that my husband has always maintained himself, he has every tool/equipment/supplies etc a man would need to do any repair job. We also have a motorhome, extra cars, boat and other crap, lol,,,,,,2 of our rentals have detached garages with fairly big yards where my husband stores all the stuff. Here is the problem, my husband want to move to a place with a bigger yard so he can store all his stuff in one place. I on the other hand think its time to downsize and enjoy our lives, i DO NOT want to move, this is our home and i am happy here, plus hubby is a junk collector so having more space would mean more junk. I realize a move would make him happier but what about me? We are at a standstill on this, i refuse to move and he is determined to find his dream house with a big yard. What shall we do?
I'm 56 and have 7 rental properties, 6 in uk which have equity of around £35000 each and a villa in spain? which is unencumbered and worth around £250,000. I have regular income from the properties but don't want to leave it all behind when I die. I want to ensure that I and my partner use as much of the equity up during our lifetime. If I were to live to the age of say, 80 and my partner who is currently 48 should live to the same age, what would be the best way to do this. Currently I'm thinking, sell them off gradually, but when do I start selling to make sure I don't run out of money. I have just taken out a mortgage of £125,000 for 8 years on the bungalow we now live in. We also own a motorhome worth about £50,000 which we want to keep for another 3 years or so, so this could be put into the equation. Our only large expenditures would be on holidays. By the way, I retired early but we currently run a small business, which brings in an income of about £1000 per month net. we don't have an extravagant lifestyle, and yes I have my own ideas but isn't this forum to explore other peoples ideas and opinions, no I'm not trying to appear shrewd and clever, I'm asking a genuine question. Getting professional advice usually means speaking to someone who has something to gain, for example a pension fund adviser. Where does one go for independent, objective advice. This is the second time I've used Yahoo answers and I'm finding people here to be unhelpful to say the least, I shan't bother with it again. Not a good community to be a part of. Looks like you've all rated each others answers, nice.
Looking for RV Park in Portland, Oregon that will take my well-maintained '78 motorhome? We just bought a '78 Champion Motorhome in December and are now looking for an RV Park in the Portland, Oregon area for a month-to-month rental. Problem is, we are now finding that most RV Parks here will not accept monthly rentals for anything older than 10-15 years. I can understand that this rule is designed to keep junky rigs out of the parks which could cause the parks to lose business. However, our RV is in good condition and has been maintained very well. Does anyone know of an RV park in the Portland, OR area which does not discriminate against RVs based on their age, as long as they are in good condition?
