Underage Rental Car in South Florida? Does anyone know of any rental car companies (that don't charge a ridiculous amount of money) in South Florida that will rent to a 20-year old and allow it as far as northern New York? Can be anything bigger than a compact, such as a Full-Size, SUV, Van, Truck, RV, anything. Everything I can find is upwards of $1,200 for the 18 days. Thanks.
Small RV with Toilet? I'd like to rent a small RV (2 adults) Class C that features shower and toilet, but I'm having trouble finding a model. It's seems as this sizes normally have only a shower, but no toilet. Rental would be in Florida. Any hints ? Thanks
Road trip across USA (from Rhode Island)? Okay so, me and my five best friends (all girls... yeah we know we'll bitch) have planned a graduation road trip, and we plan it to last about 2 and a half weeks. We're leaving from Providence, RI and stopping in the following places: Seattle Washington California Arizona (Just for the Grand Canyon) Texas (the places we're stopping in the state, we just don't know what to go see.) Mapquest informs me, by car, the cost for fuel will be about $700, and as far as that goes, I don't know what we're taking. Should we be taking a rental RV (How much is the cost to rent one in RI)? We don't want to have to stop at hotels, but theres the issue with how will we be showering. Also what should we see in Texas, California, Seattle, and Arizona? Any other stops we should make? And any advice would be great. None of us have ever been anywhere exciting (Florida doesn't count). Our lives are boring. And we want one last big bang before we go to college. Thanks alot, I'll add details if they come. we don't want to have to stop at hotels. like we plan on nostop driving, taking shifts, switching back and forth.
Question - newbie to RVs, Travel Trailers, Camping - cost to rent space in parks? Hi - We are new to this whole RV thing - my wife and I are planning to buy a travel trailer and wanted to spend 2-3 months down south this winter (from about Dec until March) - Florida would be our first choice, especially on/near water. Please have some patience as we're new to all this & know nothing about costs, best way to do it, etc. So far, in browsing various RV parks or state parks in Florida that rent out lot spaces overnight for travel trailers, we have found that the rent per day is Surprisingly expensive !! Wow. I was thinking that rental rates would be reasonable, like 150 or 200 a month to park your trailer. But I am finding prices routinely of 25-30 dollars a night ($900 a month !!) I had No idea rv parks charged that much. That really shocked us. Is there some other way or something we don't know about in renting spaces in RV parks such that we could find something much more reasonable ?? Now we are second guessing our entire plan and thinking heck it would be about the same price or possibly even cheaper to just rent a small place in Florida for a couple of months over the winter (especially considering all the empty & vacant real estate in Florida right now, Landlords are desperate for renters down there). Well, any ideas, experiences, suggestions from seasoned RV and travel-trailer veterans on this high lot rental cost issue would be greatly appreciated !!!!
