California RV-ing, any suggestions? I am planning an extensive RV trip, will be renting one to go along the California coastline (mostly). I've never done this before, so I need A-Z suggestions on; where to stay, tip on the RV life, suggestions on rental places and types of RV's, etc. Any help would be most appreciated!
Anyone done RV-ing in California? I plan to do RV-ing in California for as much as a couple of months. I want to stay mainly along the coastal areas, not much inland. Since I've never done this before, I need tips on rentals, places to stay that are safe, clean and relatively inexpensive. Also, suggestions on areas that are scenic and quiet with things to see and do. I am not into going into the "wilderness" and roughing it, I have a mild princess syndrome so that is out of the question! : )
renting an RV for a cross country road trip? My husband is currently stationed in Hawaii with the USMC. He gets out next August and we will be returning to our Native New Jersey to spend the rest of our lives around our family there. However, what we would LOVE to do, is fly to CALIFORNIA and rent an RV (it only needs to fit the two of us) and drive back to NJ making stops to see the sights and friends made along the way. However we will be needing a ONEWAY rental (we could return it in NY/NJ/PA) and would be driving for an est 2 weeks. If you have any information on the most affordable RV one way rental please provide information. Thanks
Want to hire a camper van or car in America - help? We're going to a couple of places around the US later this year and we were thinking of hiring a camper van for a week to go around Nevada-California. The problem is, we looked at some websites which add loads of costs onto the hire price including $200 to drop the van off somewhere other than your pick-up point. Is there any cheaper way of doing this, i.e. finding a private RV rental place or doing it on the day? Our other option is to hire a car - info please?! Websites, price of petrol etc? Thank you very much x
Road trip across USA (from Rhode Island)? Okay so, me and my five best friends (all girls... yeah we know we'll bitch) have planned a graduation road trip, and we plan it to last about 2 and a half weeks. We're leaving from Providence, RI and stopping in the following places: Seattle Washington California Arizona (Just for the Grand Canyon) Texas (the places we're stopping in the state, we just don't know what to go see.) Mapquest informs me, by car, the cost for fuel will be about $700, and as far as that goes, I don't know what we're taking. Should we be taking a rental RV (How much is the cost to rent one in RI)? We don't want to have to stop at hotels, but theres the issue with how will we be showering. Also what should we see in Texas, California, Seattle, and Arizona? Any other stops we should make? And any advice would be great. None of us have ever been anywhere exciting (Florida doesn't count). Our lives are boring. And we want one last big bang before we go to college. Thanks alot, I'll add details if they come. we don't want to have to stop at hotels. like we plan on nostop driving, taking shifts, switching back and forth.
Can you correct this message? I have to write it like an e-mail message.? I might have some mistakes in this email, can you correct them? Any words added or needs to be deleted, please change. Thanks in advance. I saw an advertisement recently in Sunset magazine where Rainbow Resort rents houseboats. My family and I (there are three kids and my wife and me) would like to take a vacation on a houseboats from July 17 through July 24 in the California Delta area. We've never done this before but it sounds interesting. Please send me any information you may have. I'll have to make my vacation plans soon. I have no idea how much this might cost. If we rent a houseboat, we want to know do you provide bedding, dishes, pots and pans, and the like? I'm wondering about navigating a houseboat. Will we have to take a course or training on how to operate it? It may be too difficult for us to operate. How far can we travel in the Delta area in one of your houseboats? What if we decide to stay on more than one week? I actually have two weeks of vacation, but we may want to travel in our RV part of the time. Does insurance come with the rental fee? Our kids want to know if it has TV.

Traveling. Need advice for renting small and economical travel trailer, camper or an RV? We need an economical, fuel efficient travel trailer, or RV/Camper for a long road trip in the Continental US and maybe Canada, about 4 months long. We prefer trailer but if RV or Camper are better we'll take that. Would like to find a small easily manageable one that parks easier than the big ones. Ideally fuel efficient, with bathroom, shower and kitchen space with a fridge, stove and sink. Need it to have 3 beds for mom and dad, little boy and grandpa. Air-conditioned is a must. We have never done this before, any tips and ideas would be greatly appreciated. Also not just make and model data but since we know little, websites and rental places would be appreciated. We can start our trip pretty much anywhere in the Continental US if it is less expensive, we are in California though. We need it for summer/fall months Ok, I don't even have a ball park idea of the numbers. Can someone who has done this give me an idea? And are trailers or campers or RVs better? Is it less expensive to rent in a certain state? let's say it is a one week trip, has anyone done such a road trip? Can anyone give me some numbers and opinions on what kind of vehicle is better?
I need a one-way rental airstream type thing? I'm going to be traveling from Ohio to California soon and I was wondering if anyone knows of any place that has one-way rental attachable rv type things. My biggest problem with searching for this myself is that (as you can probably tell) I have no idea what exactly I'm looking for.
Aptos California wedding venue? Trying to help family out by doing a little research for them. Couple wants a central CA wedding ceremony and reception on the beach. Seacliff state beach, or somewhere in that vicinity. Event will include, 300 people, alcohol, loud music late into the night and a tight budget. thru a little research we've already discovered, the camp sites require an RV and they have a curfew and no alcohol allowed. No vacation rental will allow 300 people (yes I know, ha ha ha). And the hotels, halls, and other banquet places either don't allow 300 people or is out of their budget, or doesn't go far enough into the night. Does anyone out there have any suggestions? Anything would help. Thanks
