Where can I hire a cheap camper van/motorhome from? I'm looking to do a bit of a "max & paddy meets most haunted" style roadtrip round Britain this year, round about May. I've looked at some sites but some people, well in fact loadsa people are quoting £1400 for 2 weeks, without petrol/site fees etc!! I could go around the world for that, never mind Britain!!! I'm looking for a 2-4 berth motorhome/camper van to hire for around £200 - £250 (maybe £300) a week. Anyone got any info?

Want to hire a camper van or car in America - help? We're going to a couple of places around the US later this year and we were thinking of hiring a camper van for a week to go around Nevada-California. The problem is, we looked at some websites which add loads of costs onto the hire price including $200 to drop the van off somewhere other than your pick-up point. Im an 18 yr old UK citizen wanting to travel in USA. Can i drive in the USA, or hire a camper van for 3 months? I'm wanting to travel round the usa for 3 months in a years time when im very nearly 19 but don't know if i can drive in the usa. I have a full UK driving license and am a very competent driver. I am even looking to hire a camper van for 3 months... which is possible but i don't know they will let me drive it if i am only 19. What issues will i need to clear up for all of this to be possible. If not can I just rent a car out and stay in motels? What type of driving license do you need to drive a camper-van in the UK? I'm thinking of hiring a campervan to go on a week holiday. I already have a regular full B driving license, but I don't know what I need to drive a campervan. Is there a minimum age to drive them? Thinking of taking another break down under!? Last holiday we spent a month travelling from various parts of Australia and staying in hotels. Is there a sensible but cheaper way of spending a month in Australia that reduces the price? I was considering hostels maybe or camper van hire with internal flights in between? however a friend of mine has said that camper hire is expensive and hotels often work out cheaper. I have £5K, fancy travelling for up to a year, where do I go? We need to be away for more than 6 months, so too long in an expensive place is difficult. We could stay in hostels, perhaps camp and have looked into hiring a camper van since it would be accomodation and transport.
